India's only personal finance magazine Outlook Money joins the ranks of publishers that has solved the puzzle of how to get titles on the digital platform without a Hearst-sized budget. On 9th July, they announced their successful completion of 13 years. To celebrate this feat, Outlook Money has announced the launch of its digital only edition to broaden its reach outside India.
Indranil Roy, President, Outlook Group, says that with the creation of the never before segment called Personal Finance, they can now guide their readers with information that’s true and meaningful in their decision making process. The focus of this section will be on stocks and will also publish stories targeted at NRI readers. The stories in the digital edition will be unique to that of the magazine.
Digital Only Editions of Magazines is certainly the future, since they allow relevant content to be updated much faster. Moreover it enables interactivity, 360 degree communication with the consumers and statistical approach to the content development grid.
The Digital magazines are free, updated very frequently & its contents are also accessible for years to come.
"The days to come will certainly be very exciting for the Magazine Publishers as they will experience the best of all worlds" added Manish Dhingra, Co-founder and Director of Mediology Software.
"The Digital Only Editions of Magazines will be available on the Web & then subsequently on Mobile & Tablet devices. It will erase the large time gap between print editions which lead to stale content and dwindling subscriptions or sales. It also provides the publisher the ability to invite and showcase content. Like in the current edition of Outlook Money Digital, there is a section on taxation which has been sponsored by PricewaterhouseCoopers India. This is a great way to advertise, by sharing knowledge capital. It will also allow for many other specialized editions. Like the current version of Outlook Money Digital focuses on Personal finance, a vertical which has mass consumer appeal, there can be many more related to Media, IT, health etc. Over the coming weeks we plan to partner with more publishers to help them launch their editions in the Digital Publishing Space", concludes Manish.
